You can delete tasks if needed. Generally, it might not be best practice to delete records (such as tasks) as they may be needed for reporting and analysis. Instead, you could consider archiving tasks because archived tasks are accessible for reporting and analysis: Archive Tasks.

Keep in mind, you cannot delete tasks that you are not the owner of (unless you are a system administrator or higher in the role hierarchy than the record owner). In order to delete custom object records in Salesforce (such as TaskRay Tasks), you must be the owner of those records. If you do not own the task, but need to delete it, you can reassign it to yourself and then delete it. You can read more about assigning tasks here.
Delete a Task Through Task Details
- Locate the task that you want to delete and open its Task Details.
- Click Delete.
- A confirmation dialog will ask you to confirm. Click Delete to confirm.
Delete a Task Using Drag and Drop
When in the All Work tab in any of the four TaskRay views, drag and drop the Trash Can icon from the TaskRay toolbar onto the task that you would like to delete.

Delete Tasks in Spreadsheet View
1. While in Spreadsheet View, click on a row number to select the task you'd like to delete. When a row is selected, the trashcan icon will turn red, signaling that the trash can is ready to be used.
2. Click the trash can. A confirmation modal will pop-up, telling you how many records you are about to delete.
3. Click the delete button.
