Dependencies can be turned on or off for your organization. When dependencies are on, you can also enable an optional validation that prevents tasks from being completed when their predecessors are incomplete
Note: The Multiple Dependencies functionality was added with TaskRay's April 2018 Release. If you do not see this functionality, please see this article on legacy dependencies to learn about the migration process.
Enable or Disable Dependencies [Admin]
- From Setup, navigate to:
- Lightning: Custom Code | Custom Settings.
- Classic: Develop | Custom Settings.
Careful! There are two New buttons. One sets default limits at the organization level, the other sets limits by user or profile. We do not currently support user or profile based settings.
Important! TaskRay with Dependencies enabled will overwrite exiting project start and end dates for projects that contain tasks with start and end dates. Dependencies will automatically calculate start and end dates based on the contents with the project, including tasks and sub-projects.
