You can define the order of task groups within projects. When you sort task groups within a project, the order is reflected in all views and for all users in TaskRay.
You can sort task groups in Task Group Mode in Kanban and Row Views, as well as in Plan View.
[Kanban + Row] Task Group Mode
- In the left sidebar, click on a project to enter single project view. Alternatively, you can use Single Project Search to select the project.
- In Kanban or Row View, in the top right corner of the page, switch the Task Group Mode toggle to on.
Note: If you can't switch the toggle to on (toggle is inactive), check that you only have one project selected in the left sidebar. Task Group Mode cannot be turned on when multiple projects are selected. - Using the up/down arrows in task group headers, change the order of task groups within the project.
Tip: You can also quickly move a task group to the top or the bottom of the list. To do this, hover over the task group name and click on the More Actions icon. From here, select between Move to Top and Move to Bottom.
Plan View
In Plan View, you can sort task groups in the Projects & Tasks sidebar.
In the Projects & Tasks sidebar, locate the task group that you want to move, click on its name and drag it to a different spot within the project.
Note: Since it is possible to view multiple projects at once in Plan View, you can also drag a task group into a different project. When you move a task group that contains tasks owned by users that are not on the new Project Team, those team members will be automatically added to the new project.
