Permission Sets are a collection of settings and permissions that give users access to functionality without changing their profile.
TaskRay is packaged with standard permission sets. By assigning TaskRay users the TaskRay permission set, Bracket Labs will be able to ensure all users receive access to new features and bug fixes without additional setup required by the system administrator.
However, we do understand there are some use cases where you may not want to leverage the standard TaskRay permission sets. For example, if you want to prevent users from deleting TaskRay records, you would not want to give them the standard permission set. In this case you would want to modify the user's profile or create a custom permission set.
For custom permissions, we recommend utilizing Permission Set Groups because they are easy to maintain to align with new product releases.
