Complete Task Groups

Note: This feature is available to the following product editions
  • Starter
  • Standard
  • Premium

Task groups can be marked as complete as they are being worked on, which ensures accuracy when reporting on project data.

Out of the box, TaskRay will automatically mark task groups as complete in the following cases:

  1. Once a task group reaches 100% progress (in other words, when all tasks within the task group are completed)
  2. Once the project that contains the task group(s) is marked as completed (even if the task group progress is less than 100%)

Optionally, you can also mark task groups as complete at any given point, even before they reach 100% progress, if needed. To do this, you will need to check the Completed checkbox on the task group record page in Salesforce.

Finally, TaskRay offers an option in TaskRay Tools and Settings to mark all projects and task groups with 100% progress as complete. Although this is optional, you can use this to ensure that all existing projects are accurately marked for reporting purposes.

Complete Task Group

Follow the steps below to manually mark a task group as complete if needed.

  1. Navigate to the TaskRay Task Group record that you want to mark as complete in Salesforce.
  2. Select the Completed checkbox.

Note: If you do not see the Completed checkbox on the page, your admin will need to add that field to the TaskRay Task Group page layout.
  3. Click Save.

Complete All Projects and Task Groups with 100% Progress [Admin]

If you would like to execute the migration script to mark all existing projects and task groups with 100% progress as complete, you can do so through TaskRay Tools and Settings. Although this is optional, you can use this to ensure that all existing projects are accurately marked for reporting purposes. You can read about this process in the Complete Projects support article.
