The TaskRay Customer Onboarding Community Template is a pre-built Lightning Community Template that can be used to accelerate the process of deploying TaskRay in a Salesforce Community. The template includes several Community Pages that are each pre-configured with TaskRay Lightning Components to provide a starting point for administrators to incorporate TaskRay in a new Community.
The TaskRay Customer Onboarding Community Template also requires Communities to be enabled in your Salesforce org before installing. To enable Communities, navigate to Setup | Platform Tools | Communities | Communities Settings.
Install the Community Template Managed Package
First, install the TaskRay Customer Onboarding Community Template managed package. When prompted, we recommend choosing to Install for Admins Only.
Deploy the Template in a New Community
After installing, the next step will be to deploy the template in a new Salesforce Community. To create a new Community, navigate to Setup | Platform Tools | Communities | All Communities.
When prompted to select a template for your Community, choose the Customer Onboarding Community Template:
Follow the steps to define your Community Name and URL, then create the Community.
Customize the Community in the Builder
After creating the Community, navigate to the Builder:
In the Builder, you can explore and customize the 2 Community Pages that are included with the template:
The Home page includes 3 TaskRay Lightning Components that work globally on the page to display data specific to the current user. You can learn more about each of the TaskRay Lightning Components in this article.
The TaskRay page is pre-configured to display the full page TaskRay Board Lightning Component, which provides full access to TaskRay for Community Users.
Publish the Community
After customizing your Community, you can publish it to make your changes live. To publish your Community, click the button in the upper-right corner:
