We have two record types, one for customer and non-customer projects. They have different page layouts and fields used. They also are tied to automation and validation rules...
We also have a corresponding task record type for each project. It would be great id we could map a default task record type based on the project record type. This wouldn't (and shouldn't) prevent a user from being able to add tasks of a different record type, but it would make it much easier than having to select the record type when creating every task on an internal project...

I would love to be able to display and or add/edit notes on individual tasks from the spreadsheet view. currently our instance doesn't seem to allow for this capability, but it does limit our ability to utilize the task notes if you have to click into each task in order to reference which notes are there.

In various places, when looking through lists, they are not ordered alphabetically by project name. As the number of projects grow, it becomes increasingly hard to find the correct one. Some example areas:
- Adding a predecessor task. All tasks with the same name across all projects appear in the list, ordered by task name but not then ordered by project name
- Adding / removing a team member. The list is in what appears to be a completely random order

A significant barrier to effective user adoption is knowledge on project development and management basics. A power tool can only make work better if it's clear how to use it. How cool would it be if TaskRay had support docs/training available for new users to understand core concepts and entry-level practices (and how those concepts play out in TaskRay)?

Our users are currently accessing 4 of the 6 tabs displayed elsewhere (which we've created additional functionality for), so it'd be nice if they weren't able to view these as options when opening a task via the board component.

This would include
- Display the Taskgroup a task is linked to.
- Set a colour for a Project template so it will display as that on the planner (instead of all of them appearing in purple)
- Add an option to open the project/taskgroup/task after clicking on it directly and not just at the right hand side.

As our resources don't work weekends it'd be good to remove Saturday and Sunday from the planner. This would allow for more days to be visible within the limited screen real estate.

These types of tasks can be assigned to multiple resources, have a start and end time, and wont allow resource conflicts with other tasks which are scheduled at the same time.

Currently the Taskray VisualForce page defaults to the last used tab between My Work, All Work, and Performance. My team would like to default their view to Performance instead of last used. Is there a way where we can have users select their preferred defaults for tabs?

It would be great if on the flux planner we had the ability to select to only show resources on that team that have that team as thier primary team.
having a checkbox in filters that says "Primary Resources Only" and this would only show resources where that is thier primary team.

We need the ability to split a task between multiple flux resources. Say we have a task that needs 80 hours of labor. We can put the estimated hours to 80, and the project is set to start on a Monday and end on a Friday. That means we need 80 person-hours over the course of 5 days. That calculates out to 16 hours per day.
Our flux resources are set up as working M-F 5 days per week at 8 hours per day.
Ideally, we would like to assign 2 flux resources to it, so each is at 100% utilization. this would mean each person has 8 hours per day assigned to them.
The current workaround is creating separate tasks for each person but that's really not a great UX or clean at all.

As a project manager, i want to be able to set a time frame that my view goes to so that I don't end up scrolling and looking in the plan view 2 years ago.
As a project manager, I want to set a number of days for my plan view so I never scroll back farther than that and get lost.
AC: PM can set a number of days and if they scroll to the left in plan view it wont go past that number of days back

The TaskRay Time lightning component and Utility app would be much more useful if you could start the timer function from within it for any context sensitive project or being able to pick a project task.

I would like to see my tasks appear in the same order that they appear on the plan view - this is not necessarily in start date order.

I would find it very useful to be able to filter the spreadsheet view to only show the incomplete tasks or the in-progress tasks.
There is no easy way to identify at a glance what is not completed in the spreadsheet view.
It would also be useful to filter by more than one column at a time - for example show all the incomplete tasks within a particular task group.

The current external ownership access does not include chatter or files. These are key features required to communicate effectively with an external owner of a task. Please add them to facilitate communication within a task instead of relying on external email communication, which has no reference or link available to an externally assigned task.

When working on a check list assigned to a task it would be helpfull to view the percent complete of the individual task based on the amount of the checklist complete. Maybe part of the bar on the plan view chart starts turning a color from left to right based on how complete the task is or being able to hover the mose over the bar and it showed the % complete.

When the TaskRay Chatter component is dropped into a record page, allow a setting to be selected to filter chatter to only that which references that record (i.e. Account, Opportunity, etc.)

I think the way people view checklist items assigned to them in the My work tab is not effective and is counter intuitive. Right now my checklist items are in my work hidden in a task that is grayed out because I don't own it. I have gotten feedback within my org that they just assumed that meant the task was completed. I think showing the checklist item on top of the task would be a better way to show what checklist items I have coming up due in a given time period.

In the public dashboard "To Do" view, be default you should be presented with only open tasks that are still to do. A filter could be included to allow completed tasks to be included if desired.

My end users love Performance View where they can see all of their projects at once. They'd love to take it a step further and have the ability to complete Tasks and Tasks Groups within this tab.
I understand a quick click over to My Work Tab can do this but less clicking saves more time.
