TaskRay & Sandboxes
If you choose to first install TaskRay in a sandbox for testing purposes, keep in mind that all sandbox users will automatically have access to the app. However, once you install TaskRay in production, any user who needs access to TaskRay (including read-only access) will need a designated TaskRay license.
Enable Chatter [Admin]
TaskRay requires that Chatter be enabled in your Salesforce instance prior to installation. To learn more about Chatter, visit http://www.salesforce.com/chatter.
- From Setup, navigate to:
- Lightning: Feature Settings | Chatter | Chatter Settings.
- Classic: Customize | Chatter | Settings.
- Click Edit.
- Under Chatter Settings, select the Enable checkbox.
- Click Save.
Chatter Feed Tracking on TaskRay Objects
By default, when TaskRay is installed in your org, Chatter Feed Tracking will be enabled on the following TaskRay objects: TaskRay Project, TaskRay Task Group, and TaskRay Task. It is required to keep feed tracking enabled on those objects.
TaskRay Footprint
TaskRay will install custom objects, custom settings, Visualforce tabs and custom object tabs. TaskRay is a managed package app and, therefore, in most cases these tabs and objects will not count against your quota with Salesforce.
Browser Compatibility
TaskRay has been tested on most major browsers.
TaskRay supports Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
