Transfer Licenses Between Users

You can transfer TaskRay licenses between users. To do so, remove a license from a user that no longer needs access to TaskRay and then reassign it to the new designated user. Keep in mind, after you remove a license from an existing TaskRay user, that user will no longer have access to TaskRay. In addition, make sure to also remove the TaskRay Permission Set from the user that no longer needs access to TaskRay.

Remove License [Admin]

1. From Setup, navigate to Installed Packages.
2. Click on TaskRay.
3. Click on Manage Licenses.
4. Locate the user that you want to remove a license from and click Remove next to his or her name.
5. In the confirmation dialog, click OK to confirm.
   
   
   Tip: If you would like to remove licenses for multiple users at once, you can do so by clicking on the Remove Multiple Users button.

Remove Permission Set [Admin]

1. From Setup, navigate to:
   • Lightning: Users | Permission Sets
   • Classic: Manage Users | Permission Sets
2. Click on TaskRay - Standard Access.
3. Click on Manage Assignments.
4. Using the checkboxes, select the users from which you want to remove the permission set.
5. Click Remove Assignments.
6. In the confirmation dialog, click OK to confirm.

Assign License and Permission Set to a New User [Admin]

Now that the TaskRay license has been removed from a user, it can be reassigned to another user. Keep in mind, after you assign the license to the new user, you will also have to assign the permission set to him or her, as well as check if app/tab access needs to be granted.
