Task cards in Kanban View can be configured to display labels for quick visual reference of key data points. Task card labels reference field values from the TaskRay Task object. For example, if you would like to have a visual indicator on task cards for priority, the Priority field can be configured as a label. If a field is configured as a task card label, then the value that is entered into that field will be automatically displayed on the task card. If the field is left blank, then the label will not display on the task card.
Configure Task Card Labels [Admin]
Task card labels are controlled via the Task Card Labels field set on the TaskRay Task object. To customize labels, you will need to modify the field set.
- From Setup, navigate to Objects and Fields | Object Manager
- Select TaskRay Task.
- Navigate to the Field Sets section and select Task Card Labels.
- From the palette, drag the fields that you want as Task Card Labels and drop them into the In the Field Set container.
- Click Save.
Change Label Color [Admin]
TaskRay defaults each label (up to 9) with a color. The colors can be changed if necessary.
Additionally, it is possible to customize color coding even further. if you would like to add different color labels for each field picklist value, check out the Customize Task Card Label Colors According to Picklist Selection article.
- From Setup, navigate to Custom Code | Custom Settings.
- Click Manage next to TaskRay Global Settings.
- If setting for the first time, click New just above the line that reads Default Organization Level Value otherwise click Edit.
- Update the Task Label Color default values with hex colors of your choosing.
The 6-character hex value must be preceded by the # symbol (i.e. #44a2b8). - Click Save.
