  • Task Groups: New TaskRay Task Group object. Allows grouping and organizing tasks within projects.
  • Task Groups: Task Group Mode toggle for Kanban and Row Views, which allows switching between regular and task group board views. Only available for Single Project View.
  • Task Groups: Task Group Mode for Kanban View displays task groups as rows on the board (swimlanes), which can be expanded or collapsed.
  • Task Groups: Task Group Mode for Row View splits the board into sections that represent task groups, which can be expanded or collapsed.
  • Task Groups: Added task group rows and bars for Plan View for visual indicators of grouped tasks within projects.
  • Task Groups: Task group headers in Task Group Mode (Kanban and Row) display the number of open tasks within each task group.
  • Task Groups: “Add Task Group” feature for adding new task groups to projects. Can be accessed from a toolbar button in Task Group Mode (Kanban and Row), a plus button from the Plan View sidebar, or from Project More Actions menu in the left sidebar.
  • Task Groups: Ability to add tasks to task groups in Task Group Mode (Kanban and Row) and Plan View.
  • Task Groups: More Actions for task groups, which contains the following options: Rename Task Group, Clone Task Group, Archive Task Group, and Delete Task Group. More Actions are accessible from task group headers in Task Group Mode (Kanban and Row) and from the task group row in the Plan View sidebar.
  • Task Groups: New “Archive Task Group” and “Delete Task Group” options, used for archiving and deleting task groups, which includes all associated tasks.
  • Task Groups: Ability to rename task groups in Task Group Mode (Kanban and Row) and Plan View.
  • Task Groups: New “Clone Task Group” option, which allows users to clone task groups, schedule them, and specify the destination project.
  • Task Groups: Task cards in Kanban and Row Views now display the name of the task group that the task belongs to. Clicking on the task group name on the card allows reassigning the task to a different task group.
  • Task Groups: Using drag and drop, tasks can be reassigned between task groups in Task Group Mode (Kanban and Row), as well as in the Plan View sidebar. Additionally, in Task Group Mode (Kanban and Row), single or multiple tasks can be selected and moved between groups using the “Add selected to group” link that appears when tasks have been selected.
  • Task Groups: Ability to reassign task groups to new projects by dragging a project from the left sidebar onto a task group header (applies to Kanban and Row Views in Task Group Mode and to Plan View).
  • Task Groups: When multiple projects are viewed in Plan View, task groups can be reassigned between projects using drag and drop in the Plan View sidebar.
  • Task Groups: Ability to define the sort order of task groups within projects in Task Group Mode (Kanban and Row) using arrows in the task group header and in Plan View sidebar using drag and drop.
  • Task Groups: New “Ungrouped Tasks” component for the Assistant, which shows all ungrouped tasks for the selected project and allows moving tasks into task groups using drag and drop. Available in Kanban and Row Task Group Mode.
  • Task Groups: Task Group lookup field added to TaskRay Task field set and page layout.
  • Task Groups: Task Groups option added to the task grouping field set.
  • Task Groups: Empty projects in Task Group Mode (Kanban and Row) now display two buttons for first steps: Add Task and Add Task Group.
  • Task Groups: Agenda now has a Task Group column (appears in the app and in print).
  • Task Groups: Daily Planner Email and Task Assignment notifications now display task group names for tasks that belong to task groups.
  • Task Groups: TaskRay Salesforce1 app now displays task group names for tasks that belong to task groups.
  • Task Groups: TaskRay Task Groups tab added for Salesforce interface.
  • Project Schedule: Ability for admins to modify org-wide default for project schedule settings to determine non-working days: none (all days are working days), simple (assumes Saturdays and Sundays are non-working days), and advanced (allows linking custom schedules to each project).
  • Project Schedule: Project Schedule field now available for the TaskRay Project field set. Allows connecting Salesforce Business Hours to projects to determine non-working days. Applies to advanced project schedule mode.
  • Project Schedule: Business Duration field added to the TaskRay Task field set and page layout. Calculates the task’s business duration, which excludes non-working days.
  • Project Schedule: Override Project Schedule field added to the TaskRay Task field set and page layout. Allows scheduling tasks on non-working days.
  • Locked Dates: Lock Dates field added to the TaskRay Task field set and page layout. Allows locking task or milestone dates, restricting the ability to reschedule them.
  • Locked Dates: Tasks and milestones with locked dates will have visual indicators in all views.
  • Locked Dates: If a locked task or milestone has a dependent predecessor that has an end date that occurs after the locked date, the dependency connection will turn red in Plan View.
  • Locked Dates: New “Tasks At Risk” section in the Assistant, which lists all tasks with schedule conflicts, as well as overdue tasks. Allows users to quickly reschedule overdue tasks from the Assistant.
  • Plan View: Complete styling overhaul.
  • Plan View: Plan View sidebar width can be adjusted to view the entire task name.
  • Plan View: Ability to add columns to the right of the Plan View sidebar, displaying data for various fields from the TaskRay Task object. Column width is adjustable.
  • Plan View: Functionality to edit field values for tasks using the new columns in Plan View.
  • Plan View: New Today button, which allows users to quickly navigate to today’s date on the timeline.
  • Plan View: New Today bar, which highlights today’s date vertically on the timeline.
  • Plan View: Mini page layout now appears when hovering over task bars on the timeline.
  • Plan View: Non-working days now have a shaded background on the timeline.
  • Plan View: Added a Year scaling option where each year is split into quarters. Allows seeing projects that span throughout several years.
  • Plan View: Updated Print visualization: updated styling, added task groups, and included new columns. Also added the ability to print the new Year scale.
  • Cloning: Updated all of the Project and Template Clone edit screens for consistency.
  • Cloning: New option to schedule templates, cloned projects, and task groups based on milestone date.
  • Cloning: Custom fields on checklist items now clone when the checklist item is cloned.
  • Cloning: When cloning a project or template, all associated task groups clone as well.
  • Cloning: New Apex actions added for the Lightning Process Builder for stitching projects, task groups, and checklist groups.
  • Stitcher: New “Insert Stitch” option for cloning and inserting projects and task groups into existing projects. Can be accessed from Project More Actions menu in the left sidebar.
  • Stitcher: Ability to stitch checklists by cloning and inserting template checklists into existing tasks.
  • Assistant: Updated “Tasks Without Dates” section for Calendar View to allow it to expand and collapse and to display task group names for tasks that belong to task groups.
  • Toolbars: New toolbars for Kanban, Row, and Plan Views that contain all view-specific actions. Buttons moved from the main TaskRay toolbar.  
  • Board Filters: Task driven project filter (‘do not apply project filter’ option) now excludes template projects.
  • Board Filters: For the combination of No Project Filter + My Tasks, any unassigned (no assigned project) tasks will now appear under Unassigned in the left sidebar.
  • Archive and Delete Screens: Updated all Archive and Delete Project and Task screens for consistency.
  • Project Details: Combined Chatter and Group tabs.
  • Milestones: Milestones will have visual indicators in all views.
  • Search Component: New search typeahead component. Used to search for templates and/or projects in Clone Template, Project Clone, Clone Task Group, and Insert Stitch screens; task groups in Clone Task Group and Insert Stitch screens; tasks in timesheet view; and checklist groups on the Checklist tab in Task Details.
  • Project More Actions Menu: Updated the Project More Actions Menu for consistency and functionality.
  • Field: Deprecated the Checklist Item Count (TASKRAY__trChecklistItemsCount__c) field from the TaskRay Task object.
  • Hiding Lists: In Kanban View, columns can now be hidden by clicking on the new arrows in the list headers. Works in conjunction with the Show/Hide Lists control and applies to all views.
  • Notifications: Updated the notification messages that display when a project, task group, or task cannot be deleted.
  • Checklist Owners: Fixed a bug where checklist item owners weren’t added to the new project team if the task was moved to a new project.
  • Permission Sets: Added new custom permission, “Manage Project Schedule Settings” to the TaskRay - Admin Access permission set, which allows access to change  project schedule org-wide default setting.
  • List Names: Fixed the issue where List values containing apostrophes would not display correctly.
  • Clone Async Method: Fixed the issue with Clone Async Method in the Process Builder where mapped fields were not updating correctly on projects.
  • Docking Tasks: Fixed bugs with docked tasks in TaskRay where the minimized task would close if another task was being edited.
  • Filters: Fixed the issue that occurred if the filter logic ended in ")".
  • Filters: Fixed the bug with the option to share filters with all users which would sometimes result in duplication of the filter.

 

TaskRay Lightning Components

  • TaskRay Snapshot: Added a Task Groups menu to allow selecting a specific task group to filter the snapshot.
  • TaskRay Templates: New option to schedule templates based on milestone date.
  • TaskRay Time: When searching for a task, the results now display the task group and project that the task belongs to.
  • TaskRay To Do: Added a new "Task Groups" filter option to organize the list of tasks into task groups.
  • TaskRay Today: Updated styling and added task group names to display below tasks that belong to task groups.
