Occasionally users need to be deactivated in Salesforce; however, they could still be listed as team members on projects and own tasks in TaskRay.
Removing a user from TaskRay involves removing them from project teams and then reassigning all of their open tasks & checklist items to other users. This is a good practice to ensure that all open work is delegated and accounted for after the previously responsible team member becomes inactive in the system.
Bulk Remove
The quickest way to remove an inactive Salesforce user from TaskRay is through the Bulk Remove feature.
- Within the main TaskRay app, look to the left sidebar. In the Projects section, click on the Wand icon to access Bulk Actions.

- Using the search field, locate the inactive user that you want to remove.
- In Step 2, select the projects to remove the team member from or check the box next to Projects to select all.
- In Step 3, use the search field to find the user or Role you want to transfer project ownership, open tasks, and checklist items to.
