Add the Flux Planner Contextual Component to a TaskRay Onboarding Flow Template

This article helps a Salesforce System Administrator add the Flux Planner Lightning Component to a TaskRay onboarding flow template.

Adding Flux Capacity as a Step inside the TaskRay Onboarding Flow

  • Go to Setup > Process Automation > Flows.
  • Click the link to open the TaskRay Customer Onboarding Kickoff Flow as highlighted below.

  • Double-click to open the Assign Project Team screen node as shown below.

  • Remove the TaskRay Screen Flow Project Team Assignment component from that screen and replace it with the Flux Capacity Planner (Flow) component.
  • Click the component, then input the settings for the new Flux component as shown below:

            1. API Name: fluxplanner
            2. Project Id: {!varNewProjectId}
  • Click the gray space below the component to update the Configure Frame settings as shown below:

Show Header = false (unchecked)

Show Footer = true (checked) 

  • Click Done to finish editing this screen step.

Saving and Activating the New Flow

        1. Click Save As
        2. Input Flow Label
        3. Click Save, which will close the modal and refresh the flow

Finally, click Activate. This makes your new Flow available for use in the next section.


Create new Opportunity Action to use the revised Flow

  • Go to Setup > Object Manager > Opportunity > Buttons, Links, and Actions
  • Click New Action
  • Input the Action information as instructed below:

  • Action Type: Flow
  • Flow: select the new Flow you activated in the section above
  • Label: input a label for your new opportunity button - something like “Kick Off Project with Flux”
  • Click Save.

Add new Action to your Opportunity Page Layouts

Update any relevant Opportunity page layouts as follows:

  • Remove the Kick Off Onboarding Project button from the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.
  • Add the new action (created in the section above) to the same section.

  • Click Save.
