[May 2026] Release Notes

New Features  🎉
The features described in this article are part of the May 2026 Release. The new Plan View experience is available through TaskRay Labs. This allows you to switch between new and classic experiences as you give the new Plan View a try.

TaskRay will be automatically upgraded to this version in sandbox and production instances on the following dates:

  • Sandbox: May 5
  • Production: May 19


This version of TaskRay will be available on the AppExchange on May 19.

 

New Plan View Experience

The new Plan View experience is a more intuitive and modern way to see and shape your work. It’s faster, sleeker, and makes it easier to manage project timelines, schedules, and dependencies at a glance. The new Plan View includes:


  • A redesigned Gantt-style timeline that’s clean, simple, and easy to use. New timeline bars that incorporate the following changes:
    • Task dates that appear on hover
    • Ability to update task start and end dates through a calendar date picker accessed from task bars
    • Progress indicators on project and task group bars, with checkmarks on completed tasks
  • Refined visualization of task dependencies, as well as a more functional approach to creating dependencies
  • Timeline zoom controls with more accurate task schedule representation at different levels
  • Improved visualization of project structure in the Plan View sidebar
  • Enhanced Plan View columns with more robust capabilities:
    • Keyboard shortcuts to navigate, update, and copy data across cells
    • The ability to customize columns to fit your workflow, including an option to reset columns to the TaskRay default
    • Rollup values at the project and task group level for Dates, Estimated/Actual Duration, Estimated/Actual Time, and Progress
    • Toggle control to show or hide columns when you need to focus on the Gantt
  • Ability to create task groups and tasks
  • A new right-click menu on tasks for scheduling and navigating to tasks on the Gantt; also includes the option to delete tasks
  • New TaskRay Setting to Enable New Plan View


Miscellaneous

  • A new right-click menu on task cards in the new Kanban View that includes the option to delete tasks
  • A new reassignment component for updating task ownership
  • Relabeled TASKRAY__List__c on TaskRay Task to Status
  • Removed the Deprecated (Do Not Use) (TASKRAY__Status__c) field from the TaskRay Task object
  • Updated apex classes
  • Updated dependencies and libraries

 

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue that occurred when FLS was missing on TASKRAY__List__c on TaskRay Task, causing an error
  • Resolved an issue where the notification settings in TaskRay Global Settings were not respected at the user level
  • Resolved an issue where the TaskRay Resource Planner did not accurately reflect utilization when more than 2000 open projects were selected
  • Resolved an issue where the TaskRay Resource planner showed an "Unexpected token" error when pulling in large data volumes
  • Resolved an issue where long Project Record Type labels would overrun on screen

 

May - 1.1031 (Released 2026-05-19)

  • Resolved an issue related to the email verification update that prevented adding new team members to projects
  • Resolved an issue with the TaskRay Stitching apex action and using Project Ids as input parameters
  • Resolved an uncaught runtime error in Collaboration View

May - 1.1032 (Released 2026-05-26)

  • Resolved an intermittent issue where cloning multiple projects at once sometimes resulted in an row locking error on TaskRay Custom Settings

June - 1.1033 (Released 2026-06-02)

  • Resolved an issue with New Kanban where moving a Task to a completed column changed the Task's status to the final value.
