TaskRay provides flexible options for organizing tasks across different views, and it is possible to customize some of the options to provide users with additional flexibility to manage their work. In this article, you will find instructions for how to customize the following:
- Kanban View - Sort By: The Sort By control in Kanban View allows reorganizing tasks on the board.
- My Work - Group By: The Group By control in My Work allows grouping tasks by various criteria.
Modify Task Groupings Field Set [Admin]
The sorting and grouping options are controlled via one of the two Task Grouping field sets on the TaskRay Task object. To customize available options, you will need to edit the applicable field set.
Custom fields added to the TaskRay Task object can be used for grouping and sorting. The following field types are supported for grouping and sorting: lookup, picklist, checkbox, or date. The number field type is only supported for Kanban View sorting.
- From Setup, navigate to Objects and Fields | Object Manager
- Select TaskRay Task.
- Navigate to the Field Sets section:
- Select the Task Groupings (Kanban and Row Views) to customize the sorting options for Kanban View.
- Select the Task Groupings (My Work View) to customize the grouping options for My Work View.
- Drag fields from the object palette and drop them into the In the Field Set container.
- Click Save.
