My Work | Functionality Review
Task Management
Think of My Work as your personal workspace: it is the place to manage all of your assignments and keep track of your priorities. Generally speaking, My Work contains all of your assigned tasks and checklist items and allows making updates to assignments to track your work progress.
Â
Tasks and Checklists
In My Work, every task is represented by a card that displays key details and includes quick actions for task management.
If an assigned task has checklist items, you will see a chevron icon to the left of it.Â
If you have any open checklist items assigned to you on other users' tasks, those tasks will appear greyed out in the list and will display a label with the name of the task owner.
Â
Manage / Complete Tasks
My Work makes it easy to make updates to tasks and checklists as you work through them.Â
As you work on your assigned tasks and checklists, make sure to update their statuses to track your work progress. Not only does it provide accurate metrics, but it helps ensure that every detail of your work is always accounted for.
To access task quick actions, hover over the status box in the task row. From here, you can block a task, change its status list, and complete the task. Once a task is completed, it will disappear from this view (you will still be able to find it in other views or in the standard Salesforce interface if needed).
Additionally, if you ever need to review detailed information about a task, click on the task name to open its detail modal.
Â
Organization
My Work organizes assignments in a list-like interface and presents quick options for changing how the tasks are visualized. By default, you have three options for organizing and grouping tasks in this view: End Date, Start Date, and Priority. Using these options, you can reorganize the list of tasks depending on your workflow, whether you need to see approaching deadlines or address the highest priority tasks.
Clicking on the grouping header or chevron icon will expand or collapse the section. You can also click on the Expand or Collapse links at the top of the view to quickly expand and collapse all groupings.
Options for grouping tasks in My Work can be customized by an Admin. When customizing the options, it is possible to use other standard TaskRay Task fields, as well as custom fields added to the object. For more information, see Customize Task Sorting and Grouping Options.

The Feed tab in the right sidebar is the place to get relevant updates for your assignments and review relevant Chatter activity. The Notifications sub-tab will include updates, including:
- New tasks assigned to you

- You've been added to a new project team
You can refine visible notifications by type using the filter menu.
In-app notifications can be configured to include custom notifications. If there are any custom notifications that would be useful for your workflow, refer to the following admin guide: Customize In-App Notifications.

The Files tab aggregates attachments on your tasks.
