Configuration Hub

This feature is available on the following TaskRay Product Editions

  • Standard
  • Premium

    Note: Specific functionality varies by edition.

The Configuration Hub is the place for managing TaskRay configurations. When setting up TaskRay, this is one of the first places to review to ensure that the configurations are set up according to business requirements.

 

Access Configuration Hub

To access the Configuration Hub, use the Salesforce App Launcher to search for and navigate to the Configuration Hub tab.

Within the hub, the left sidebar will group available settings into sections. The sections that are visible will depend on the user's permissions, as well as the product edition.

Note | Permissions
All sections in Configuration Hub are accessible by users who have the TaskRay - Admin Access permission set assigned. Specific sections can be made available to users via corresponding permission sets.

 

Resource Management

This section contains settings specific to the resource management functionality in TaskRay. For information on the order in which these settings should be configured, refer to the Configure Resource Management article.

Note | Permissions
This section is accessible by users who have the TaskRay - Admin Access or TaskRay - Resource Manager Access permission set assigned. 

 

Resources

This section of the Configuration Hub allows setting up and managing resources. Available TaskRay resources will appear in this list, allowing managers to further define certain resource details.

Roles

The Roles tab of the Configuration Hub allows reviewing and defining roles, which can then be assigned to resources. The roles should represent the different business areas that exist within an organization, as it pertains to work management in TaskRay.

Attributes

Available functionality varies by edition. Attributes are available on the Premium edition.

The Attributes tab of the Configuration Hub allows reviewing and defining custom attributes, which can then be assigned to resources and roles. Attributes should represent the different skills and traits of your workforce, as it pertains to work management in TaskRay.

Business Schedules

The Business Schedules tab of the Configuration Hub allows setting up business schedules and holidays to define the working schedules of resources in TaskRay. Business schedules can be assigned to resources and roles.

External Collaboration

This section contains settings specific to the external collaboration functionality in TaskRay. For additional information, refer to the Collaboration Hub: Configuration Guide.
